Bharath Sambasivam

Bio

I am a postdoctoral associate in the department of physics and the Center for Quantum Information Science and Engineering at Virginia Tech. I started at Virginia Tech in the Fall of 2024. I work in the Barnes-Economou group. I am broadly interested in quantum information science, quantum algorithms, high energy physics, and cosmology. I finished my PhD in physics at Syracuse University in 2024, and wrote a thesis titled "Open quantum systems in high energy physics". I got my undergraduate degree at Shiv Nadar University, India in 2018, and wrote a thesis on my research on Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) phenomenology.
